How to setup a dial-up mobile internet connection? Connect mobile phone to PC via USB and connect to internet

This tutorial is about connecting to internet using your mobile's data connection to surf internet by connecting the mobile to PC using a USB cable. Note: On modern Android Phones, you can do USB tethering instead if it is supported.

For almost any phone, the same general steps apply - that is to create a dial-up connection on the PC using the mobile phone's modem.
