OSCLASS Customization – How to add widget areas in the right sidebar manually?

In this post, we shall see how to customize OSCLASS to add widget areas in the sidebar manually. OSClass has few widget supported themes. Modern theme is one that supports a header and footer widget areas. But by default there is only one sidebar widget that shows locations. Excerpts are trimmed down version of posts which are displayed on blog feed which we normally see on front page of websites and blogs. We see the same on Blogger front page. At the end of excerpt we normally see “Read more”. "Read More" tags splits the entire content into two halves – the first appear as a snippet in a blog feed. On clicking “read more” the user is taken to the entire blog post page. “Read more” prevents a blog from showing entire blog post content in the front pages. Why some 3.5mm audio jack does not play audio well on smartphones? Well I have a mobile phone with the standard 3.5 mm jack socket and the audio plays well with the earphone that came along with it. But sometime back I lost it. So I bought another one. Now this one does not play audio well. The sound has noise and sounds like a cheap karaoke. How to shorten a long URL (URL shortners)?

Long URLs can be hard to remember. Suppose you have a website page to share with someone, but it's too long. For example: http://www.exaple.com/example1/example2/example3/example.html. It will be inconvenient to share this and difficult to remember too. But wait. Who the heck remembers URLs any way, whether short or long? While it is so, there may be cases where you need some one to write it down etc. Then a long URL will be inconvenient. But that is still not the real advantage of shortening URLs. The most common practical application of shortening URLs is to accommodate URLs in applications where there are character limits such as SMS or Twitter tweets etc. A regular SMS allows only 160 characters is a single SMS. Twitter Tweets allows 140 characters. If long URLs are used in such applications, there won't be any space left to write. Read more »
